Eerie Elegance Frequently-Asked Questions
Can you accommodate disabilities? Are you wheelchair accessible? Do you have steps, uneven ground, etc?
Cast members wearing EE badges are available to assist in any way possible. Our pathways are all flat on pavers, on artificial grass, or 32" wide plywood ramps over a couple steps. The narrowest points are 29" through the Christmas Tree door and 25" through the Oogie arches. We can escort a wheelchair or walker around the other way to Oogie's Lair. We have music in all areas to enhance visually-impaired experiences, and our games are hopefully simple enough with signs for hearing-impaired to understand and play. If you have additional questions, please message us on Instagram or Facebook or email at EerieElegance @ gmail.com but we won’t be able to reply until after showtime is over.
What are your treats?
We are part of the
Teal Pumpkin Project offering non-food treats! Our prize treats for Oogie's games are candy, toys, stickers, pencils & glowsticks, so if you cannot have candy, we have options.
How long is the line?
Be prepared to wait at over an hour in chilly weather, even up to 3 hours on busy nights! Come early to make sure you get in, since we will be closing the back of the line as early as necessary to make sure guests are inside before closing time, which may be 8pm. Saturday night we had a consistent line 6-9 houses away that was taking up to 1.5 to 2.5 hours complete your experience. People lining up early starting at 5pm got in when we opened at 6:30 before the line stacked up inside, so that is your best plan for the least wait times.
Where can I park?
Street parking is limited on Magnolia so try neighboring streets either direction then walk to Magnolia. You may drop off your party then join them after you park. Our line goes from our house towards Park Ave not The Alameda. No double-parking allowed since you will block traffic for well over an hour as you are in line. Please do not block driveways since neighbors will have your car towed! Some neighbors are selling their driveway space as event parking so you might get lucky!
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome but you stand in line at the sidewalk well over an hour plus in our backyard around garden plants. On Sunday night the line was up to 3 hours so be prepared to be patient.
What is "Give Kids the World Village"?
Give Kids the World Village TM is an 84-acre, nonprofit “storybook” resort located near Central Florida’s most beloved attractions, where critically-ill children and their families are treated to week-long, cost-free dream vacations in association with the Make-A-Wish program. We have flyers available at the event to read and take with you if you like. Please donate online to GKTW through our fundraiser link on our webpage and QRCodes posted around the event, then GKTW will send tax deduction receipts directly to you. We do not accept cash donations. Last year's event raised over $15,000 for Give Kids the World, spreading our Halloween cheer locally plus all the way to Orlando!
Can I bring my own food & beverages?
Guests may take their own beverages & food with them in line as long as they are careful. Please be courteous to other guests and our property. Our trash & recycling cans are at the corner of the Oogie line. We have another trash can out front at the driveway exit.
Do you have restrooms?
No, we do not have public restrooms available at our event.
Do we go inside the house? How old is the house?
You cannot go inside our house, but you get to walk around our entire property that is decorated everywhere! Our Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1890, still standing strong, and we are taking care of her to last another 100 years after us. You can follow tag #EerieEleganceEstate on Instagram & Facebook to see our remodeling progress and never-ending projects.
Is it scary? Are children allowed?
We prefer family-friendly Halloween displays, so children are welcome, and this year nothing is scarier than a jack-in-the-box!
Do you do this every year?
Yes! This is Britta’s thirtieth year as a Halloween Hostess, but our Halloweens have gotten even grander and more elaborate since we purchased our Victorian home on Halloween 2019! You can see past Halloween photos and videos on
EerieElegance.com and our
Eerie Elegance YouTube channel.
Will this Halloween display stay up through Christmas like last year?
No, the variable weather in December is too risky, but we will have our snowy Victorian Christmas decor with carolers, antique sleigh and reindeer viewable from the sidewalk.
What happened to Diagon Alley?
We like to change Halloween themes every year, so Diagon Alley is in storage, hopefully to return for Halloween 2025. Stay tuned!
